History:
This print was part of the ten etchings series published as an album by Editions Apollo for the Weill Gallery in 1930. One hundred albums, numbered from 1 to 100, were made on Vélin de van Gelder and ten luxury albums including two sets of engravings, one on vellum and the other on vintage Japan paper, were numbered from I to X. Besides, five non-commercial albums were marked from A to E. All the engravings on this album are signed and numbered off the plate. The artist reserved a few luxury copies on parchment for each of the subjects.
